Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE) is seeking candidates for the newly-created position of Associate Director. Since 1983 PACE has played a unique and essential role in California’s education policy system, bridging the gap between the academic research community and California policy-makers. PACE works with a wide network of policy scholars to connect their work to state and local policy audiences, and with policy leaders in Sacramento and throughout the state to ensure that their decisions are informed by hard data and rigorous analysis. As California adapts to a radically new education policy regime, PACE is seeking an Associate Director who shares our commitment to increasing the impact of academic research on policy choices, and who can help us to reach new audiences and expand our influence.
We are looking for a Data Analyst to work with Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE). PACE is an independent research center that unites an interdisciplinary array of nationally prominent scholars on education policy, specifically focused on comprehensive policy reform and continuous improvement in performance at all levels of California’s education system. The Data Analyst will engage with Stanford faculty, students, and staff as well as external clients and partners (e.g., district personnel, research partners at other universities). PACE is committed to examining policies that promote growth in student achievement and reduce student achievement gaps, with a focus on accountability systems, highly effective teachers and school leadership.
