Monica G. Lee

Monica G. Lee is a senior research associate at the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University. She is also program manager and research adviser at EveryDay Labs, which partners with school districts and uses behavioral science to reduce absenteeism. Lee's research interests include nudge experiments in education, as well as examining non-cognitive factors, such as absenteeism and social-emotional learning, through a quantitative lens. Her background as a first-generation college student and immigrant informs her work and scholarly interests. She was previously a researcher in the Center for Education Policy Analysis at the Stanford Graduate School of Education. Lee received her MEd in education policy and management from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and her MA in economics and her PhD in educational policy from Stanford University.
