Jesse Levin
Jesse Levin is a principal research economist at the American Institutes for Research (AIR), where he has been involved in a number of projects examining educational production, school finance and adequacy, and resource allocation. He is directing several randomized control trial studies for various educational interventions and is director of a national study of district weighted student funding systems. Levin most recently conducted an updated study of the cost of providing educational adequacy in California public schools. His work draws upon his expertise in applied econometrics and quantitative methods. Levin is a member of the California Department of Education’s California Practitioner Advisory Group and Technical Design Group. He received his PhD in economics from the University of Amsterdam and the Tinbergen Institute.
