The recently released University of Southern California Rossier School of Education/Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE) poll was cited by The Mercury News. The article reports that recent teacher strikes in Oakland and Los Angeles have galvanized public support for educators and won commitments from district officials to raise pay and reduce class sizes. The annual USC Rossier/PACE poll of Californians’ attitudes about education found that 85 percent of respondents rated “improving education funding” as a high or a very high priority.
