Abby Robyn was a social scientist at the RAND Corporation, specializing in the implementation of educational innovations. Her research examined the relationship between teacher instructional practices and student achievement in mathematics and science, as well as evaluations of high school reform initiatives aimed at supporting at-risk students. She co-authored multiple RAND publications, including analyses of educational policies and large-scale teaching interventions. She also contributed to studies on the implementation of the No Child Left Behind Act, the use of microcomputers in math and science instruction, and the impact of the Intensive Partnerships for Effective Teaching initiative, a large-scale effort led by the American Institutes for Research (AIR), on teacher performance and student outcomes. Robyn earned her MA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
