Alan J. Daly
Alan J. Daly is professor in the department of education studies at the University of California, San Diego, and director of the educational leadership doctoral program. He was most recently the chair of education studies at UC San Diego; a Fulbright Global Scholar in New Zealand and South Africa; and a Fulbright Specialist in Spain and in Chile. He has held a wide variety of positions in K–12 public public education, ranging from classroom teacher to district psychologist to site administrator. His current research focuses on the role of social networks, leadership, educational policy, and knowledge mobilization with a focus on equity. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters along with five books. Daly received his MS in counseling from San Diego State University and his PhD in education with an emphasis in educational leadership and organizations from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
