Andrew Foote
Andrew Foote is lead economist with the Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics Program (LEHD) in the Center for Economic Studies at the U.S. Census Bureau. He was previously a research and teaching assistant at the UC Davis Center for Poverty and Inequity Research. His primary research interests and specialties are internal migration, job loss and re-employment, as well as education policy. He focuses on migration within the United States, attempting to identify the effect of labor market and crime shocks on migration. He is currently researching the effect of student’s receiving information about their readiness for college on their subsequent college enrollment decisions. Foote received his PhD in economics from the University of California, Davis and BA in economics and mathematical sciences in Economics and Mathematical Sciences from Lewis & Clark College.
