Andrew Fuligni
Andrew Fuligni is a professor in the department of psychology and professor-in-residence with the department of psychiatry and biobehavioral sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is coexecutive director of the UCLA Center for the Developing Adolescent (CDA) and director of the UCLA Adolescent Development Lab while codirector of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Family Research Consortium IV. He is also senior scientist at the Jane and Terry Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior and a fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA) and was awarded the APA Boyd McCandless Award for early career contributions to developmental psychology along with the William T. Grant Faculty Scholars Award and a FIRST award from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). He was previously an associate professor in the department of psychology at New York University and was an associate member of the Mac Arthur Network on Middle Childhood and the Russell Sage Foundation Working Group on Social Identity and Institutional Engagement. He was formerly a member of the executive committee of the Society for Research on Adolescence and has served on the editorial boards of Developmental Psychology, the Journal of Research on Adolescence, and Child Development, where he is currently associate editor. Dr. Fuligni received his PhD in developmental psychology from the University of Michigan.
