Antonia Issa Lahera is associate professor emeritus of educational leadership in the College of Education at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH). On behalf of the CSUDH Graduate Education Division, she led efforts for the School Leadership Program, the Innovative School Leadership Institute, and the Urban School Leaders, Charter, and Autonomous Leadership Academy. Lahera is also a former principal and teacher in the Long Beach Unified School District, where she taught elementary, middle school, and high school English. She has worked nationally as an education consultant with the Literacy Leadership Collaborative, EdMicU, and the National Urban Alliance. She has used her more than 40 years of leadership experience in settings from schools to universities as well as numerous publications to educate and inspire the next generation of teacher-leaders. Lahera received her PhD in urban leadership from the University of Southern California.
