Barbara Jean Sims is co-director of the National State Implementation and Scaling-up of Evidence-based Practices (SISEP) Center and associate director of the National Implementation Research Network in the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was formerly a research assistant at PACE. She was also an administrator and former teacher in the Oakland Unified School District. Her current focus is the application of implementation research to the education field. She has more than 30 years’ experience in education as a teacher, administrator, and consultant while working in private, public, and state education agency settings. Dr. Jean Sims received her PhD from the University of California, Berkeley.
