Beth Gamse is an education evaluation leader with broad research and education policy expertise. She has designed and conducted studies using mixed quantitative and qualitative methods, random assignment, regression discontinuity, and large-scale survey-based approaches to evaluate federal, state, and local education initiatives. She has led studies for federal and state agencies, philanthropic organizations, and nonprofits, examining programs that support college and career transitions, afterschool and expanded learning, teacher preparation and evaluation, and research-practice partnerships. Her recent work includes consulting with nonprofits and foundations on evaluation strategy and design. She collaborates with stakeholders to refine study designs, metrics, and reporting to ensure findings are actionable. Gamse earned her EdD from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
