Bidemi Carrol

Bidemi Carrol is a senior research education manager at RTI International, specializing in strengthening education systems in low-income countries. With almost 20 years of experience in education policy, research, and program management, she has contributed to initiatives in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Malawi, Côte d'Ivoire, and Tanzania. She has managed large-scale education projects, conducted research on education system effectiveness, and provided technical assistance to programs focused on literacy and foundational learning. She has worked with the World Bank, managing Sierra Leone's education portfolio, and with the International Rescue Committee, leading the LEGACY Initiative to rebuild education systems in post-conflict West African countries. She co-founded the Learning Foundation in Sierra Leone and serves as its board chair, in addition to being a board member of Schools for Salone. Carrol earned a BSc in computer science and applied mathematics from Brown University and an MA in economics and a PhD in international comparative education from Stanford University.
