Brad Lupien is cofounder, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Arc After School and Experiential Education. Arc is a team of 1200 teachers, mentors, guides and coaches that contracts with schools and school districts to facilitate before and after school programs, enrichment clubs and outdoor education programs. Lupien currently serves as a board advisor at Just in Time for Foster Youth and was appointed by California Senator Pro Tem Toni Atkins to the Governor’s California Before- and After-School Advisory Board. He formerly served on the boards of Temple Solel, Interfaith Family, Learning in After School and Summer (LIAS), the youth Take Action Campaign and the San Diego Education Synergy Project. Lupien is also a team member of the Policy Committee for California Expanded Learning Division (EXLD) in the California Department of Education (CDE) while a Steering Committee member of the California Afterschool Advocacy Alliance (CA3). He began his career as a teacher and guidance counselor with Boston Public Schools (BPS) and as a social worker in the juvenile justice system across Boston, MA. Lupien earned a BSW in social work from the University of Vermont and an MAT in education from Simmons University. He holds a secondary education teaching credential in history.
