Cara Jackson is a principal associate in the Division of Social and Economic Policy at Abt Associates. She has expertise in designing and managing evaluations of such as education programs as teacher preparation, charter school expansion, and district-level initiatives. Jackson is also the president-elect of the Association for Education Finance and Policy, and she serves on the board of the Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning. She has previously held research and evaluation roles at Bellwether Education Partners, Montgomery County Public Schools (MD), and the U.S. Government Accountability Office. Jackson received her PhD in education policy from the University of Maryland.
