Caven S. Mcloughlin
Caven S. Mcloughlin is professor emeritus of psychology with the School Psychology Program (the largest school psychology preparation program in Ohio) at the School of Lifespan Development and Educational Sciences in the College of Education Health and Human Services at Kent State University (KSU). Mcloughlin has been involved in federally funded training of interdisciplinary leadership personnel working with toddlers, infants, and newborns. He has authored, edited, or contributed to ten books and over 100 published research articles and chapters. He is the editor of School Psychology International journal. He was previously a special education classroom teacher and school principal in England, and then a school counselor and psychologist in Utah. He has also been an international visiting professor in psychology departments at the University of Johannesburg and Central China Normal University, as well as a Fulbright Specialist in China, India, and Africa. Mcloughlin received his MA in counseling and guidance from California Polytechnic State University, his MS in educational and developmental psychology from North East London Polytechnic, and his PhD in instructional and school psychology from the University of Utah.
