Daniel Bowen
Daniel Bowen is associate professor of educational administration and human development in the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University. Dr. Bowen also serves as chair of the TAMU K–12 Education Leadership program while co-director of the TAMU Arts, Humanities, & Civic Engagement Lab, dedicated to the rigorous investigation of the arts and humanities in promoting student success, social and emotional well-being, and civic engagement, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). He is also a research affiliate of the Houston Education Research Consortium at Rice University. His research examines the value of students' arts, humanities, and civic engagement through experimental and quasi-experimental research methods. He has authored 20 peer-reviewed journal articles, a book chapter, and numerous articles, reviews, and reports through various media on these subjects. Dr. Bowen holds a PhD in education policy from the University of Arkansas along with an MEd in education and a BA in political science jointly from the University of Notre Dame. He taught social studies for grades 7–12 at Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School in Alabama.
