Daniel Bowen
Daniel Bowen is an associate professor of educational administration and human development in the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University (TAMU). He also serves as chair of the TAMU K–12 Education Leadership program; is a research affiliate of the Houston Education Research Consortium at Rice University; and serves as codirector of the TAMU Arts, Humanities, & Civic Engagement Lab, which, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, is dedicated to the rigorous investigation of the arts and humanities in promoting student success, social-emotional well-being, and civic engagement. His research examines the value of students' arts, humanities, and civic engagement through experimental and quasi-experimental research methods. He previously taught social studies for Grades 7–12 at Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School in Alabama.He has authored 20 peer-reviewed journal articles, a book chapter, and numerous articles, reviews, and reports. Bowen received his PhD in education policy from the University of Arkansas.
