David Lang is a doctoral student in the economics of education program and an Institute of Education Sciences fellow at Stanford University. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with bachelor’s degrees in economics and in actuarial mathematics; he holds a master's degree from Stanford University in management science and engineering. Prior to his doctoral studies, Lang worked for five years as a research analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. His research interests include higher education, online education, and quantitative methods in education research.
