Ed Manansala

Ed Manansala serves as the El Dorado County superintendent of schools, leading efforts to enhance educational excellence and equity across the county. He previously served as principal and superintendent of St. HOPE Public Schools, where he oversaw significant improvements in academic achievement, graduation rates, and college acceptance. He also worked in Sacramento City Unified School District, addressing systemic barriers to student learning. A recognized leader in education, Manansala has served as president of the California County Superintendents, vice chair of the California State Board of Education’s California Practitioners Advisory Group, and board president of the Boys & Girls Club of El Dorado County. He is a board member of the El Dorado County and El Dorado Hills Chambers of Commerce and was recently appointed to the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence Governing Board. Manansala earned a BA in business administration and an MSW from California State University, Sacramento, and an EdD in educational leadership from the University of California, Davis.
