Eva L. Baker

Eva L. Baker is a distinguished research professor of education at the School of Education and Information Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, and director of the Center for the Study of Evaluation (CSE) and the Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, and Student Testing (CRESST), where she also leads the Center for Advanced Technology in Schools (CATS). A past president of both the American Educational Research Association and the World Educational Research Association, she is a member of the National Academy of Education. Baker co-chaired the committee that produced the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing and has held leadership roles with the National Research Council’s Board on Testing and Assessment and the National Center for Education Statistics. Baker earned her MA and EdD in education from the University of California, Los Angeles.
