Eva L. Baker is distinguished professor of education at the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies. She has directed the UCLA Center for the Study of Evaluation since 1975. She is also director of the Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, and Student Testing. She has been president of the Educational Psychology Division of the American Psychological Association and the American Educational Research Association, and she was also the president of the American Educational Research Association and a former editor of Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis. She was cochair of the committee to revise the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing; a member of the Advisory Council on Education Statistics for the National Center for Education Statistics, and chair of the Board on Testing and Assessment of the National Research Council. Baker received her EdD from the University of California, Los Angeles.
