Gail E. Lovette
Gail E. Lovette is assistant professor, teaching faculty, in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia (UVA). Dr. Lovette was previously research faculty assistant professor on the leadership team of the Supporting Transformative Autism Research (STAR) Initiative and she formerly served as the director of Turnaround Projects at UVA. She was also a clinician and education and outreach specialist with the UVA McGuffey Reading Services center and worked as an elementary reading specialist and elementary grades classroom teacher respectively in the Charlottesville and Alexandria City Public Schools systems in Virginia. Dr. Lovette holds a PhD in reading education from the University of Virginia, an MA in educational leadership and administration from The George Washington University, and a BA in elementary education/elementary education from State University of New York, College at Genese.
