George W. Moore is professor of educational leadership in the Department of Educational Leadership at Sam Houston State University; he teaches graduate courses in research methods and program evaluation. His research focuses on Advanced Placement participation and performance, college readiness, and instructional leadership. He previously served as science coordinator for Mid-Del Public Schools in Oklahoma and as director of networked learning and assessment at the K20 Center for Educational and Community Renewal at the University of Oklahoma. He has also held administrative roles at Sam Houston State University, including program advisor and coordinator for the Master of Arts in School Leadership Program. He is an expert and researcher in student preparedness for college, the effects of grade-span configurations on achievement, and the role of data-driven decision-making in education. Moore received his PhD in educational administration, curriculum, and supervision from the University of Oklahoma.
