Gregory J. Palardy is an associate professor in the Graduate School of Education at the University of California, Riverside. His research focuses on school and teacher effectiveness, educational equity, and quantitative methods. His recent studies examine the effects of socioeconomic and ethnic segregation in schools on student attainment, learning, and school behaviors; the impact of inequitable access to qualified and effective teachers on achievement gaps; and the influence of social mechanisms in schools, such as peer influences, social capital, and organizational habitus, on student outcomes. Palardy earned his PhD in education (quantitative methodology), MA in statistics, and MA in education (quantitative methodology) from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
