Guilbert C. Hentschke

Guilbert Hentschke is the Richard T. Cooper and Mary Catherine Cooper Chair in Public School Administration at the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California, where he previously served as dean. His research focuses on the finance and governance of public, nonprofit, and for-profit education organizations. He teaches courses on the economics of education in the EdD program and globalization in the PhD program and serves as faculty advisor for programs integrating business and education. He is also a senior advisor to the National Resource Center for Charter School Finance and Governance. He serves on the boards of multiple education organizations, including the Education Industry Foundation, the National Center on Education and the Economy, and WestEd Regional Educational Laboratory. He previously held faculty and administrative positions at the University of Rochester and Columbia University and served in leadership roles in the Chicago Public Schools and the East Side Union High School District in California. Hentschke earned an MA and PhD in education and business from Stanford University.
