Hiren Nisar

Hiren Nisar is an assistant professor and lecturer in the Department of Economics with the School of Business at the University of Exeter. He was previously director of analytics and senior economist with 2M Research; a senior analyst with Abt Associates; and a research associate with the Wisconsin Center for Education Research at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Nisar has managed and led various evaluation projects in the field of education, nutrition, welfare, and international development. His primary role is as a quantitative research and analysis expert designing experiments to ensure that evaluation plans meet rigorous evaluation standards and conducting complex analyses for diverse audiences. He is proficient in both technical and proposal writing. Nasir received his dual MS in industrial engineering and operations research from the University of California, Berkeley, and his PhD in economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
