Holly S. Schindler is associate professor of early childhood and family studies and of learning sciences and human development in the College of Education at the University of Washington. She is also a fellow with the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University. Her research focuses on promoting equitable systems in support of children and families, with an emphasis on early childhood education, family support programs, and the role of fathers in child development. She was recognized as a Foundation for Child Development Young Scholar, and she has collaborated with the Frontiers of Innovation network to develop and disseminate tools for a flexible approach to program development and evaluation. Her work has been supported by the National Institutes of Health, the Institute of Education Sciences, and the Fatherhood Research and Practice Network, and has been published in Child Development, Early Childhood Research Quarterly, Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, and the Journal of Marriage and Family. Schindler received her PhD in applied developmental and educational psychology from Boston College.
