Holly Yettick

Holly Kurtz is director of the EdWeek Research Center, which produces standalone studies as well as analyses for Education Week and special reports such as Quality Counts. She was previously a postdoctoral fellow, research assistant, and instructor of record at the University of Colorado Denver School of Public Affairs and a Knight-Wallace fellow in the Wallace House Center for Journalists at the University of Michigan. She is also a former staff writer for the Orlando Sentinel, the Montgomery Advertiser, the Hernando Today, and the Cape Coral Daily Breeze. Her expertise is in analyzing the education marketplace and conducting K–12 research in the education space. Dr. Kurtz holds a PhD in educational foundations/policy and practice from the University of Colorado at Boulder along with a BA in literature from Yale University.
