Il-Woo Paik is dean and professor of education at the Graduate School of Education, Yonsei University, where he also serves as head professor of lifelong education management. He is deputy director of the Korean Educational Finance and Economics Association and a senior member of the Korean Educational Administration Association. Paik contributes to the University Advancement Committee and the University Finance Steering Committee at the Korean Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology. He is associate editor for the Journal of the Korean Association of Educational Finance and Economics and editor-in-chief for Korean Education, the journal of the Korean Educational Development Institute. He was a researcher for Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE) and a visiting professor at the National Center for Research in Vocational Education at the University of California, Berkeley. Paik  earned his PhD in education from the University of California, Berkeley.
