James C. Bridgeforth

James C. Bridgeforth is an assistant professor of educational leadership in the School of Education at the University of Delaware. He is a faculty affiliate and former research fellow with the Community Schools Learning Exchange (CSLX). He previously served as a research associate at the Race and Equity Center at the USC Rossier School of Education. His research examines the politics of educational leadership and governance, with a focus on racism, antiblackness, and community voice in educational decision-making. His scholarship has been published in Journal of School Leadership, Education Policy Analysis Archives, Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, and Educational Administration Quarterly. Bridgeforth began his career in education as a college admissions officer before transitioning to K–12 education as an elementary school teacher and leader. Bridgeforth earned his MEd in educational administration and policy from the University of Georgia and a PhD in urban education policy from the University of Southern California.
