James H. Hanson

James Hanson has worked in the health care industry for more than 30 years. He is a physician–executive who has held progressive management responsibility for quality and performance improvement, medical staff affairs, clinical education, electronic health records implementation, and medical group operations. He has a strong clinical background with expertise in patient safety, the Toyota Management System, telehealth, and clinical outcomes management. Hanson served as a principal at Rona Consulting Group (now Moss Adams). In addition, Hanson practices as a pediatric intensivist in the pediatric intensive care unit at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and is a clinical professor of pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco. He received his MD from the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
