Jennifer Carlat is executive director of the Urban Land Institute in Nashville, Tennessee. She was previously chief policy officer for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. She was formerly vice president of Metropolitan Policy. She also served the Metro Nashville–Davidson County Planning Department as special projects director, community planning and design manager, and policy analysis and communications officer. She was a board member at Nashville Civic Design Center and official liaison for the Office of the Nashville Mayor, NashvilleNext Steering Committee, and Metro Departments, supporting a comprehensive plan to guide Nashville's growth over the next 25 years. Carlat is licensed and certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners. She received her MA in public policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
