Jennifer L. Stephan

Jennifer L. Stephan is a former researcher with American Institutes for Research (AIR). She was previously a research assistant at Northwestern University. Her specialty was researching social sciences with a focus on human development and education. She is currently a freelance writer of social studies—nonfiction books for kids and teens with topics on economics, current events, and biography—that draw from her career research alongside the personal experiences of children and young adults. Stephan earned her MA in economics from Princeton University and PhD in human development and social policy from Northwestern University.
