Joan McRobbie is senior associate for National School Reform at the Community Training and Assistance Center (CTAC), whose work involves intensive technical assistance with school districts; research and evaluation; and advisory to policymakers at all levels. She has long held senior policy and research positions in education R&D firms, notably WestEd, as well as cabinet posts in a major urban school districts, such as San Diego Unified. She was also a former research associate at PACE. Previously, as a journalist, she won numerous national, regional, and local journalism awards. McRobbie holds an MPA degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government where she was a Lucius N. Littauer Fellow.
