Julie S. Owens

Julie S. Owens is professor of psychology in the Department of Psychology at Ohio University. She is also codirector of the Center for Intervention Research in Schools and a Presidential Research Scholar at Ohio University. Her research focuses on developing and evaluating school-based interventions for youth with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and related behavioral challenges, emphasizing teacher consultation and parent engagement. She has been recognized as a fellow of the American Psychological Association’s Society for Child and Adolescent Psychology for her contributions to research in clinical child psychology, particularly in school mental health. She is a licensed clinical psychologist in Ohio. Owens received her PhD in clinical psychology from Purdue University.
