Katherine A. Larson was a senior researcher with the Special Education Research Laboratory in the Graduate School of Education at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), Graduate School of Education, and a fellow at the American Institutes for Research in Washington, DC. Her research focused on developing and identifying research-based interventions aimed at reducing delinquency and school failure among high-risk youth. She co-authored studies addressing educational challenges faced by Mexican American students and investigated the efficacy of cognitive training for social adjustment in learning-disabled delinquents. Larson earned her PhD in education from UCSB.
