Kathleen Malaske-Samu

Kathleen Malaske-Samu is the former secretary and board member of Child360. She previously served as the director of the Office of Child Care for the County of Los Angeles, where she led child care and development initiatives for 22 years. She was the executive director of a child care resource and referral agency serving the eastern San Gabriel Valley and contributed to early childhood education policy through research and program development. She collaborated on strategies to prevent child care welfare fraud as part of Los Angeles County’s Economy and Efficiency Commission. Her classroom experience spans preschool and school-age children in Minnesota and California. Malaske-Samu earned her MA in human development from Pacific Oaks College and an MA in urban planning from the University of California, Los Angeles.
