Kathleen Mulvaney-Panjwani is director of research and evaluation at Activate Research. She was previously an education research assistant with American Institutes for Research (AIR) and an education researcher and educational instructor at the University of Maryland, College Park. As a research scientist, her work has focused on education policy and practice in schools, districts, states, and at the federal level. Her areas of focus include federal, state, and local education policy, school finance, teacher policy, and educational equity. She has co-authored several Statistics in Brief publications released by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). She is also a certified reviewer for the What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) at the Institute for Education Sciences (IES). Mulvaney-Panjwani received her PhD in educational leadership and policy studies and MA in education policy from the University of Maryland, College Park.
