Katie Albright is a lawyer and the executive director of UC Berkeley Equity & Excellence in Early Childhood (E3C). At E3C, she leads an interdisciplinary initiative focused on research, policy, and systems change to advance equity for young children across the state. Albright has previously held executive leadership roles in early childhood advocacy and policy organizations, working closely with families, community partners, and state and county agencies to promote system-level reform. She also serves as the chair of the First 5 California Children & Families Commission. For nearly two decades, she has partnered with Abigail Stewart-Kahn to improve outcomes for young children, strengthen families, and build community-driven systems. Albright received her JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
