Kelsey Krausen is a senior research associate in the Oakland office of the Comprehensive School Assistance Program. She previously served as the senior education research fellow on the team, commissioned by former California Attorney General Kamala Harris, that wrote the report In School + On Track 2016; the report examined the causes and recommended solutions to the state's elementary school truancy and absenteeism crisis. Krausen received her PhD in education policy and school organization from the UC Davis School of Education.
