Kyra N. Caspary is a principal senior researcher at SRI Education, where she studies educational pathways that prepare youth to achieve their career and life goals. She specializes in mixed-methods research, program development, and evaluation, with expertise in secondary school transformation, career and technical education, work-based learning, and equitable access to advanced coursework. She has led large-scale studies on high school reform, competency-based education, and student engagement. Caspary has been a principal analyst for the University of California system, conducting statistical analyses of admissions data and managing the University of California Undergraduate Experience Survey. As a former researcher at Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE), she led a study on child care workforce training and retention programs. She began her career as a program coordinator for a K–12 volunteer tutoring program in Texas, tripling student and volunteer participation in three years. Caspary earned her an MPP from the Goldman School of Public Policy and a PhD in education from the University of California, Berkeley.
