Laura Wray-Lake is professor of social welfare in the Luskin School of Public Affairs at University of California, Los Angeles. Wray-Lake’s research aims to explain the development of civic engagement across adolescence and young adulthood as well as to identify factors that support youth civic engagement. Her new book, Young Black Changemakers and the Road to Racial Justice, is published by Cambridge University Press. She received her PhD in human development and family studies from the Pennsylvania State University.
