Linda Jacobson is a senior writer at The 74, covering early education, and K–12 leadership, Congress, policy, courts, and more. She has been an independent writer and editor for over two decades, specializing in education, children’s issues, state policy, and early childhood services. She previously worked as a senior reporter for Education Dive, where she covered district leadership and early childhood education. Jacobson was an assistant editor at Education Week and served as assistant director of the Education Writers Association, planning conferences and developing resources for education journalists. She began her career as an education reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, covering state and local school systems. A first-prize winner in the National Awards for Education Reporting and a recipient of an Eddie Award for her work on media literacy in schools, she was also a 2018 fellow with the Center for Health Journalism at the University of Southern California. Jacobson earned her BA in journalism from Georgia State University.
