Luis A. Rodriguez is an assistant professor of educational leadership and policy studies with the Department of Administration, Leadership, and Technology in the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development at New York University (NYU). He has a secondary, courtesy faculty appointment in the NYU Department of Applied Statistics, Social Sciences, and Humanities. Rodriguez is also a research affiliate with the Research Alliance for New York City Schools, the Institute for Human Development and Social Change, and the Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of Schools at NYU. His research seeks to identify and inform policies, programs, and practices capable of fostering more equitable and supportive learning and working environments for students and educators alike. His work has been cited by news outlets such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Forbes, as well as by education-focused journals such as Education Week, Chalkbeat, and Inside HigherEd. He serves as an editorial board member for Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis and Education Finance and Policy. Rodriguez received his PhD in K–12 educational leadership and policy studies with a specialization in quantitative methods from Vanderbilt University.
