María del Rosario Rivero is an associate professor with the Faculty of Education at Universidad Diego Portales in Santiago, Chile. She is also director of innovation and development and co-founder of Talento al Aula, an organization focused on transforming the recruitment, selection, and evaluation of teachers and educational leaders. Her research explores the development and implementation of educational innovations that enhance student learning, particularly for vulnerable populations. She has conducted empirical studies on teacher training, professional development, and the management of public and private education policies and programs. Rivero previously served as a faculty member at Universidad Diego Portales and as an adjunct researcher at the Center for Studies, Policies, and Practices in Education. She also worked as a research assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, and as a coordinator for the analysis and policy division of Chile’s Ministry of Education. Rivero earned her MA in public policy from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a PhD in education with a concentration in policy, organization, measurement, and evaluation from the University of California, Berkeley.
