Mark Murphy is an assistant professor of educational psychology in the College of Education at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. His research focuses on evaluation, educational equity, immigration policy, English Learners, special education students, and minority-serving institutions. He is a recipient of the Stanford Institute for Economic and Policy Research Dissertation Fellowship, the Institute for Education Sciences Fellowship in Quantitative Education Policy Analysis, and the Enhancing Diversity in Graduate Education Fellowship. Previously, he worked for the New Mexico Legislative Education Study Committee, the California State Assembly Committee on Education, and the Zuni Public School District. Murphy earned a PhD in education policy and the economics of education from Stanford University.
