Max Marchitello

Max Marchitello is an independent education consultant focused on education policy and advocacy. He previously served as a senior analyst at Bellwether Education Partners and as a policy analyst at the Center for American Progress, where he worked on school finance, educator diversity, and policies to improve outcomes for historically underserved students. He was also a Bill Taylor Fellow at the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights. His expertise spans legislative, federal, and state education issues, with a particular focus on equity, school finance, and teacher workforce policies. Before transitioning to policy research and advisory, he was a high school English teacher in Philadelphia, working in high-needs urban schools. Marchitello earned his MEd in secondary education from Arcadia University and an MS in social policy from the University of Pennsylvania.
