Mikala Rahn is the CEO and founder of Public Works; she has extensive experience in the areas of school improvement, curriculum, and assessment; teacher professional development and support; juvenile justice, intervention, and prevention programs; and workforce development. Rahn is also the founder of Community Works of HopeWorks and cofounder of artWORKS. Rahn has served on the Pasadena Unified School Board. She received her MA in political science, her MA in education administration, and her PhD in educational policy from the University of California, Berkeley,
