Rachana Bhatt

Rachana Bhatt is executive director of research and policy analysis for the University System of Georgia (USG) at Georgia State University (GSU). She has previously been a senior scientist with the USG Consortium for Analysis of Student Success through International Education. Bhatt collects data from 26 USG institutions, fielding and responding to data requests, while conducting research and analysis to guide education policy. Her own research evaluates education policies and programs in K–20 settings with the goal of translating data into usable information for informed decision-making and problem-solving. Before joining USG, she was assistant professor of economics in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at GSU and she served for over fifteen years in state and federal government. Bhatt received her PhD and MA in economics from the University of Rochester.
