Richard G. Lambert is professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and director of the Center for Educational Measurement and Evaluation. His research focuses on formative assessment for young children, applied statistics, survey research methods, and teacher stress and coping. He has led evaluations of assessment systems and professional development models for early childhood educators and serves as principal investigator for projects funded by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Lambert has also contributed to the Advanced Placement Statistics program, serving the College Board and Educational Testing Service in such roles as consultant, reader, table leader, question leader, and rubric team member. He received his EdS in counseling psychology and his PhD in research, measurement, and statistics and from Georgia State University.
