Roddy Theobald
Roddy Theobald is a managing researcher in the Center for Analysis of Longitudinal Data in Education Research at American Institutes for Research (AIR). He was previously a research assistant with the Center for Education Data and Research in the School of Social Work at the University of Washington and a seventh-grade math teacher in the Oakland Unified School District. His primary responsibilities at AIR include overseeing research projects related to the teacher labor market and its implications for student outcomes. He has extensive experience using large administrative datasets to estimate econometric models that investigate policy questions of broad interest to education policymakers. His research specialties include education and mathematics along with teacher preparation and performance. Theobald received his PhD in statistics from the University of Washington.
