Roman Stearns
Roman Stearns is founder and executive director of Scaling Student Success, a California partnership dedicated to educating the whole child. He was previously a senior advisor and practitioner-in-residence at the Learning Policy Institute and a senior education advisor with RTI International. He also directed the EastBay LEARNS Partnership for the Alameda County Office of Education. He began his career as a public school teacher, but he has spent years successfully directing large-scale, multifaceted projects and partnerships focused on systemic educational transformation in California and designed to make real-world learning the norm for the vast majority of students. Stearns received an administrative credential in educational leadership from California State University, East Bay, and his MA in education from the Stanford Graduate School of Education.
