Roman Stearns
Roman Stearns is founder and executive director of Scaling Student Success, a California partnership dedicated to educating the whole child. He was previously a senior advisor and practitioner-in-residence at the Learning Policy Institute (LPI) and a senior education advisor with RTI International, He also directed the EastBay LEARNS Partnership for the Alameda County Office of Education. After 10 years serving as a public school teacher, he has spent the past 20-plus years successfully directing large-scale, multi-faceted projects and partnerships focused on systemic educational transformation in California, designed to make real-world learning the norm for the vast majority of students. Stearns received his BA in human development from Cornell University and an MA in education from the Stanford Graduate School of Education. He received an administrative credential in educational leadership from California State University, East Bay.
